This involves working with clients to produce complex tax computations and returns for HM Revenue & Customs, giving advice on corporate planning and restructuring projects both in the UK and Internationally.

The Team

You’ll often be tackling challenges that are at the heart of client’s investment decisions, enjoying the opportunity to grow your commercial understanding, while also developing specialist technical skills and studying for valuable professional qualifications. The work is varied and challenging, and we also offer the opportunity to support our R&D and technology offering.

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Manager. The team consists of chartered surveyors and tax and accounting specialists, many of which are dual qualified or currently undertaking their professional qualifications. The current team is well established and has ambitious growth plans, and so there is huge potential for career development in this role. This team prides itself on being diverse and supportive, and we work hard to create a fun working environment with a focus on the individual's development.

We are happy to consider candidates from any geographic location in the South / South West; we are flexible in the way that we work, be that hours, location or role. The team is led from Bristol and our primary offices are based in Reading, Cardiff, Bristol and Southampton.

Responsibilities

- Working collaboratively, assisting with the delivery of client engagements
- Keeping documentation up to date
- Sharing knowledge
- Preparing capital allowance claims for submission to HM Revenue & Customs
- Assisting management in the preparation of proposals
- Assisting in the preparation of technical queries from other parts of the firm

Experience and Background

- Strong academic background including a degree minimum 2:1
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.

You may already be working in a professional services background with experience within tax or alternatively a qualified accountant with a background in audit looking to develop your career within tax.
