We are looking for

We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor/Environmental Manager to:

·  Facilitate the improvement of safety performance in the business unit by following and monitoring the implementation of unit safety policy, processes, procedures and guidelines.
·  Provide expertise and support to the business unit on matters affecting safety.
·  Perform safety inspections/ audits to verify compliance and identify deviations and uncontrolled risks affecting safety.
·  Operate the accident & near miss incident investigation process, completes or verifies accident and investigation reports in co-operation with line management and technical specialists.
·  Support line management and technical specialists in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigation findings.
·  Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
·  Monitor safety auditing process and regular workplace visits under the direction off the unit Safety Manager.
·  Assist line management in workplace safety audits
·  Share safety related information throughout the business unit, including investigation outcomes and best practices.
·  Support and contribute to the activities of the safety committee in their unit. 
·  Interact with external stakeholders (i.e. clients and authorities) in matters affecting safety, under direction from the Safety manager.
·  Develop and maintain his/her own competences as safety specialist in co-operation with Safety manager.
·  Support the development of safety competences of others.
·  Use the Employee survey results as a source of information for improvement of safety
·  Review and update the management system
·  Review current arrangements against legal requirements
·  Address external and internal audit findings
·  Produce environmental dashboard
·  Produce environmental plan
·  Review waste management arrangements
·  Assist with KONE corporate returns

The Environmental Manager is responsible for managing and continuously improving environmental performance to meet the targets set by the unit and KONE Corporation.  The Environmental Manager prepares necessary documents for management and reports directly to the top management of the unit.

Desired profile

Skills, Education and Experience

NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent

Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent 

People management skills

Project management skills

Presentation skills

Written and spoken English

Good knowledge of ISO9001 /ISO 14001 (general knowledge of work health and safety)

MSc/BA in a relevant field or equivalent experience

3 years professional experience

Recognised professional qualification in health and safety

Good IT skills
