Warehouse Operative

Job description

We are looking for five Warehouse Operatives to join our friendly and fast-paced team at Draycott in the Clay and to provide best in class customer solutions for our Customers.

Your Role

Our Warehouse Operatives are seen as the main drive of the operation by fulfilling our customer needs. The successful candidates will ensure that products are processed and handled correctly throughout the warehouse using MHE, manual handling and the computer system to achieve customer requirements efficiently, accurately and safely. Please note that there is a requirement to operate Fork Lift Trucks as part of this role. Whilst it is not essential that applicants have an existing FLT license, there will be an expectation that successful applicants will be comfortable and competent to operate FLT’s (after any necessary training) as part of their normal duties.

Your Responsibilities

·  Receiving, checking and put away of deliveries / returns
·  Picking and packing
·  Quality checking / screening
·  Scanning and packing of product to order
·  Data input onto a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
·  General warehousing duties

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Numeracy skills with good attention to detail and communication skills
·  Previous warehousing experience (advantageous but not essential)
·  A valid Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT licenses (advantageous but not essential)
·  An aptitude to use a computerised despatch system
·  The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a busy team
·  The ability to meet daily targets and deadlines
·  A hard working, positive and flexible attitude
·  The ability to pick, pack and fulfil orders for customers
·  Awareness on how to keep the workplace clean and tidy. Awareness of Health and Safety requirements
