We have a fantastic opportunity for Warehouse operatives to work at our new state of the art purpose built facility at East Midlands Gateway.

YOUR ROLE

We have a fantastic opportunity for Warehouse Operatives, working as part of our busy warehouse operations team at our new facility at East Midlands Gateway (EMG), initial training for this role will however take place at our Minworth Branch (B76) until the EMG site is in operation. The role will initially focus on our SecureChain operations supporting many of the world's top high tech companies, as a key link in their supply chains, distributing products to retailers and other corporate customers. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader you will play a key role in the warehouse operations ensuring that products are processed and handled correctly throughout the warehouse utilizing manual handling equipment (MHE), manual handling and the appropriate computer systems to achieve and fulfill customer requirements efficiently, accurately and safely After the move to East Midlands Gateway in spring 2019, there will be the exciting opportunity to become involved with our EuroLink groupage operation and our brand new Pharmaceutical operation as well. We have a variety of shifts available including Earlies, Lates and Nights, predominately Monday to Friday, but weekend shifts may also be available. There will be a need to work additional hours / shifts during peak periods

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable) and ensure that MHE is being used in accordance with training and Health & Safety legislation
·  Carry out assigned tasks including: goods receipt, stock pallet building / putaway. Checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, MHE duties and the processing of returns
·  Carry out assigned administrative tasks including but not limited to: allocation of orders and the checking in and out of stock
·  Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned computer based tasks as required
·  Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas
·  Undertake any other duties that may be assigned

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

·  Previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be advantageous
·  Experience of working to agreed targets
·  PC literate (where applicable)
·  MHE licences (preferable)
·  Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading, goods receipt
·  Ability to work individually or as part of a team
·  Reliable and committed to attending work on time
·  Flexibility to tasks and hours as required by the operation
·  Good Communication skills

This role is currently based in Minworth (B76) but we will be relocating in Spring 2019 to a new facility at East Midlands Gateway (DE74) so the successful candidate must be able to commute to both sites. Assistance with travel costs will be available in the short term for a successful candidate based closer to East Midlands Gateway.
