Warehouse Operative

Job description

We are currently working for a Warehouse operative at our Heathrow site who will be responsible for ensuring customers product is processed through the warehouse within timescales set out by the customer.

This role will be working in our perishables department and will involve working in a chilled warehouse (around 4 degrees). This role is a permanent role and will require the successful candidate to work 4 on 4 off shift.

What you'll do:

·  Facility: To be an integral part of maintaining a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping throughout the warehouse and surrounding area
· 
Receiving Goods: efficiently and safely receiving goods into the warehouse

· 
Handling: working with chilled and frozen goods and handling them at the correct temperature ranges.

· 
Loading/Unloading: building and breaking aircraft units

· 
Packing: products to be packed into airfreight suitable packaging

· 
Equipment: operating MHE, including FLT and pallet trucks

What you'll bring:

·  Operational warehouse experience in a fast moving environment
·  Able bodied and in good health for manual activities
·  CASP aviation security clearance compulsory
·  Basic knowledge of forwarding documentation (desirable)
·  Attend K+N courses / training as required for role
·  Ability to present and communicate effectively
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a Team working and customer focused attitude.
·  Current Forklift Truck License (counter balance minimum/ride on pallet truck desirable).
