Job Title: Warehouse Operative

What we’re looking for:
Warehouse Operative Number 2 who will report to the Operations Controller for the primary operation on the Diageo production site in Runcorn. The Warehouse Operative Number 2’s role primarily has responsibility for running the small pack warehouse ensuring that the small pack production lines run efficiently, whilst ensuring adherence to both KNDL and Diageo H&S requirements. The Warehouse operative number 2 will also step up and cover for the Operations Controller when they are not on shift.
What you’ll do:
· Run a small team of warehouse operatives to ensure that the production lines continue to run and that trailers are loaded in line with the production plan
· Maintain stock integrity for the stock stored and loaded out from the OSL warehouse operation to minimise liability to KNDL
· Build relationships with the customer particularly the Diageo production staff that the warehouse operatives work alongside
· Build positive customer relationships and responding constructively to customer requests
· Create and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication
· Promote high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensuring compliance to all legislative Health & Safety requirements
· Promote and ensuring a consistent, fair and thorough approach to the implementation of human resources policies and procedures
· Ensure compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements. And develop an understanding the Operations Controller role to ensure that cover can be provided for Operations Controller ASH
What you’ll bring:
· Counter balance FLT License (preferable)
· Strong warehouse system experience (SAP knowledge preferable)
· Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
· Excellent analytical, problem solving skills
· Personal drive and a determination to succeed
· Exposure to operating within a fast moving environment on a customer site would be beneficial
· A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
