Job Title: Transport Clerk

We are currently seeking to recruit a Transport Clerk to join our team based at our Greene King site in Trafford Park.
What we're looking for
Working in a busy operational office, this role demands a flexible, pro-active approach to work as every day is different, a good telephone manner, the ability to work effectively within strict time constraints in a demanding environment, a considered and proactive approach to providing quality customer service and detailed reports with excellent attention to detail.
What you'll do:
·
Brief out and debrief all drivers on site in a professional and controlled manner in line with company procedures.
·
Monitor performance, drive improvement and resolve challenges and issues as they arise.
·
Deliver customer expectations within defined service level agreements and to continuously improve customer service levels through accurate monitoring.
·
Assist with the use of Transport Management IT systems.
·
Promote Health and Safety standards; ensure compliance to all relevant Health and Safety Policies.
·
Support improvement projects such as driving fuel efficiency and improving driving style through use of transport management systems, reducing vehicle damage and improving driver productivity.
·
Develop and manage relationships with internal customers and third parties to deliver best in class service.
·
Manage transport paperwork in line with KN best practice and legal compliance standards.
·
Ensure that the equipment and PPE necessary for Drivers are available.
·
Support the Management team with the day to day running of the Transport Operation.
What you'll bring:
·
Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
·
Ability to make own decisions and work as part of a team.
·
Effective written and oral communication.
·
Customer focused with commitment to achieving high standards of service.
·
Good team player with a proactive attitude to problem solving and a flexible approach to work.
·
PC Skills: Excel, Word, and knowledge of TMS would be beneficial, however, not essential.
·
Full Driving License required.
