Team Leidos which includes Kuehne + Nagel as the Storage, Distribution and Freight Delivery Partner took over the MoD's Logistics Commodities Services Operation in August 2015. In order to support the MOD Contract and other opportunities within the public sector, the Kuehne + Nagel Military & Government Business Unit was set up within the UK Contract Logistics Division.
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Record all movements by road on the day by tracking live Trimble Reports and ensure that all commutations are maintained with drivers on all movements.
·
Report any issues to the Munitions Movement Visibility Cell as and when they occur in the operations through verbal communication/written/e-mail.
·
Ensure all necessary information is supplied to the Central Munitions Transport Cell Manager and Planning Team as required verbal communication/written/e-mail.
·
Ensure effective communications to customers on execution of the plan for the day to day Munitions delivery / Collections. Verbal communication/written/e-mail.
·
Deliver clear & documented details on times V actual planned. Ensure that Road Transport exception of the daily plan is executed. Verbal communication/written/e-mail.
·
Ensure all other duties within the Central Munitions Transport Cell are covered and clearly understood through affective commination with all team members.
Specific in-house training will be given in regards to:
· Vehicle Track System
·
KNPS /
·
SAP
Your skills and experience
· Applicants should be flexible and willing to learn with a positive outlook toward the working environment
·
Demonstrate a practical knowledge of computers (Excel / Word)
·
Demonstrate good communication skills between team and management
·
Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
·
Good housekeeping skills
