Job Title: Technical Service Inspector

What we're looking for

The servicing of equipment held within MoD stocks and the Loan Pool at K&N Bicester

What you'll do:

· 
Servicing and Maintenance of technical stores held within KNMG core business activities and Loan Pools, in line with current MoD Technical Publications and Regulations, as defined in AESPs, EMERs, Defence Standards, TS Technical Instructions, Manufacturer Instructions and where applicable Work Based Instructions.

· 
Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant technical publications for MOD Loan Pool Stocks. Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to carry out servicing and repair to MOD Stock.

· 
Ensure that serviceable stock is available for MOD customers within time constraints/KPIs.

· 
Plan and prioritise work on a daily basis or more frequent if required. Ensure all job related paperwork is complete within 4 hours of completion and supervisor/manager is made aware of spares requirements within 2 hours of identification

· 
Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy. Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas. Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ W. Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process

· 
Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy. Adopt KN Compass behaviours

· 
Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace. Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area

· 
Requirement to work at height in a safe and effective manner in line with training provide. Multi-skilling across TS work zones as business needs dictates.

What you'll bring:

· 
Recognised Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ or equivalent) having completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent

· 
PC literate – would be desirable although not essential

· 
Experience of working in a busy workshop environment

· 
Ability to work individually and as part of a team

· 
Reliable and committed to attending work on time

· 
Good Communication skills and interpersonal skills

· 
Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy and high attention to detail

· 
Ability to adapt to change and effective decision maker
