Supply Chain Management - Station Order Coordinator

Job description

Purchase between 300-400 catering items that will be stored in a central warehouse and subsequently shipped to catering locations throughout the United States and surrounding areas for a US major airline. Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained at the warehouse and minimize any stock outs that could adversely affect service levels to the customer.

Your tasks and responsibilities

- Manage optimum stock levels for items under your responsibility including forecasting analysis
- Ensure accuracy of invoices comparing to the Purchase Order and transportation invoices versus what was received
- Establish and maintain supplier history and relationship
- Maintain/monitor vendor agreements; consult with relevant work groups to resolve any issues
- Ensure the delivery of all invoices with Finance
- Maintain an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
- Establish effective lines of communications with field staff, operations, and both internal and external customers where interaction is required
- Coordinate inbound logistics shipments
- Perform other assignments that may be assigned as necessary

Your skills and experience

- College Degree or equivalent in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or other applicable field
- Identify the position's requirements. State the essential skills, knowledge and experience required to qualify for the position.
- Minimum of 3 years prior Purchasing experience
- Proficient Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and industry standard purchase order software platforms (SAP a plus)
- Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as a team environment and with the customer in a positive, proactive approach
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced and at times stressful situations and environment. Be able to prioritize internal and external customer requests
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating data
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
