Job description

TThe Hotel + Cruise Logistics Coordinator shall be responsible for clerical, operational and accounting functions as related to export Seafreight shipments assigned as "key accounts". This includes full responsibility for logistics related activities of account specific and ad-hoc Seafreight export shipments. The assigned task encompasses the direct handling and servicing of customers, their accounts and files. The position is responsible for overseeing sea freight export operations, end to end tracking and remedial logistics planning and execution when required. The position requires the organization of daily workload in line with standard operating procedures and process flows while maintaining the highest level of quality customer relations as well as working with related document production. Additional focus on document accuracy, health certificates, commercial documents and manifest reviews is within the scope of responsibility for this position as well.

Your Skills and Experiences

• College a plus or equivalent experience
• Usually requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in freight forwarding.
• Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years current work experience in ocean freight forwarding.
• Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, seaport.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. Administration Regulations (FAA, FMC, EAR, Hazmat) and other government agency requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and PC skills.
• Employee requires completion of IMO Security training classes.
