Job description
The regional Seafreight SALOG Manager is responsible to manage the SeaLOG implementation in South and Central America. The role is to ensure a proper review of planned system development against the existing processes in the countries. It also involves identifying, documenting and sharing current best practices and system gaps. This will enable the countries to change and improve the day-to-day operational sea freight process before the system change to ensure a smoother transition.
Together with the Regional Seafreight Processes + Systems, it is the SALOG Manager responsibility to train and develop the national process managers (ZS C) and the regional systems and processes team on all SeaLOG aspects.
The SALOG Manager will create and follow up on a project plan(s) per country. The project owner is the national seafreight manager (NS) and the national project manager(s).
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Project management for SeaLOG Export implementation.
· Continuous improvement of SeaLOG imports.
· Development of National Process Managers how to analyze and review their current operational requirements.
· Revision of Program Demands for SeaLOG and BPA
· Document possible organizational structures roles + responsibilities supported by SeaLOG/BPA.
· Document SCA requeirments for SALOG, in conjuction with national offices
· Revision and documentation of Business Cases for new System requirments
Your skills and experience
· University degree in Engineering, Logistics or similar
· 2 to 5 years experience in Project Management, Leadership, Seafreight Forwarding, and Process and Systems
· Fluent in English and Spanish. Portugues desirable
· Prince or PMI trained to be able to use project management tools
· Able to use Agilian mapping in BPMN
· Able to host a brown paper session and later map the business process
· Analytical, technical affinity, intercultural competence and excellent communication skills.
