What we're looking for
It's an exciting time to join Kuehne + Nagel - our UK business is growing and fast. We are now looking for an experienced QSHE Business Partner to join our team based from Manchester or the North West on a full time permanent basis.
As a Health and Safety professional, you will have (or be working towards) a NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma. You will work in close collaboration with management teams to implement QSHE requirements ensuring that company and legal standards are implemented effectively.
What you'll do
· Delivering support to the business in accordance with any current approved service level agreement
· Act as business sector lead on QSHE matters by attending sector management meetings
· Represent the business in enforcement liaison at a regional level
· Produce QAR (QSHE Activity Reports) following site visits and QSHE meetings
· Assist the customer transition and integration team on new premises and business implementations
· Advise HR, finance, procurement, fleet and other departments as necessary on QSHE matters and management systems
· Inform local management of changes to and new legislation related to QSHE
· Carry out audits and inspections
What you'll bring
· Good level of English Language and Maths
· NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma in Health & Safety or the equivalent and Chartered membership of IOSH (or working towards)
· Lead auditor status desirable and associate membership of IEMA desirable
· Demonstrable experience in a related industry in a QSHE or health and safety role
· Working knowledge of management systems including OHSAS18001, ISO9001, ISO14001
· Excellent communications skills, specifically for presentation delivery and report writing
· Good influencing, negotiation and stakeholders skills - able to collaborate effectively with operations teams
· Able to travel nationally
