Procurement Category Manager - Temp Labor

Job description
This position will handle national procurement projects of indirect expense categories and management of Temporary Labor. Analytical and negotiation skills are essential to success in the position.
This position will include all steps of the procurement process from identification of savings potential to bidding, negotiation, awarding and implementation with direct communication with vendors and in-house stakeholders. General responsibilities include project management in various spend categories.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Facility Management
• Establish the national Temporary Labor operations organization and support establishing the global Temporary Labor operations structures.
• Coordinate and guide all Temporary Labor operations activities within the country and branches and secure alignment with global initiatives
• Supplier management of National Temporary Labor supplier
• Manage supplier and contract relations for Temporary Labor suppliers including performance measurement and improvement plans (e.g. contract renegotiations, price indexation etc.)
• Assure sustainable building and infrastructure management for KN properties and delivery of soft services to meet the KN requirements including site audits
• Highlight any KN issues of non-compliance within Temporary Labor operations.
• Main contact for external service providers for national issues.
• Handling of all Major issues with Temporary Labor supplier and issues within the set limits
Lead sourcing initiatives
•Identify specific sourcing opportunities and their potential financial impact
•Help gather key business requirements, data and feedback in vendor selection process
•Prepare & solicit quotes or competitive bids from vendors
•Lead supplier selection and negotiate vendor pricing and contracts
Manage the day-to-day procurement process
•Oversee purchase order activities and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
•Assist in qualifying new vendors prior to vendor set-up
•Ensure that preferred vendor pricing, service levels and agreed upon terms are being honored by vendors in transactions
•Manage vendor relationships and serve as a point of escalation for stakeholders
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement plans, policies and procedures
•Document and communicate procedures for all sourcing processes
•Identify and implement process improvement, savings opportunities and sustainability targets
•Track and report procurement metrics
Your skills and experience
•College degree a plus
•The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of experience in procurement and Temporary Labor
•Proven track record and demonstrated ability to manage projects self-responsibly
•Expertise in other indirect spend Categories, like Courier Express/Travel.
•Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills to foster respect and teamwork with internal an external partners
•Position is eligible for 401(k) and healthcare benefits
Preferred experience in:
- in running RFP-process
- working in a global corporate company
- understanding of project management and procurement skills
- preferable at least 5 years of experience
