Operational Care Specialist

Job description

Your day begins by reviewing shipment statuses + new orders. By checking that our systems are fully updated, you ensure all shipments are quickly + accurately processed, reviewing booking trends, rate developments + allocation utilization. Adjust + share Minimum Selling Rates + cargo steering guidelines with Customer Care & Operational Care teams to ensure profitable growth + operational excellence.

Your Role

You are responsible for supporting the operational care team on daily operations while setting margins for pricing requests, ideally across all trades, taking a variety of elements into consideration (market levels, industry specifics, customer requirements + price sensitivities) while trading off against procurement levels + internal policies to maintain a profitable gross yield.

Your Responsibilities

·  To create/complete shipment details in our internal transport management system, coordinate with all involved stakeholders + organize transport based on the customer promise, obtain DG approvals where required, escalating discrepancies as required.
·  To monitor + report on operational performance of carriers + other vendors as well as ensuring strong data quality is available for timely + accurate customer reporting.
·  To maintain + strengthen carrier relationships on operational levels.
·  To support sea logistics procurement + carrier relation management.
·  To execute pricing strategies by liaising on pricing + RFQ preparation.
·  To actively exchange of information + knowledge with your team + other stakeholders.
·  To provide timely responses to rate requests, finding mutual solutions for profit maximization.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Degree or Diploma in the field of transport and logistics
·  Minimum 3 years experience in the field of freight forwarding in a similar role.
