Job description
This critical position sits in one of our top key account teams dedicated to providing end to end freight solutions for a large, well known New Zealand retailer. Overall, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and timeliness of data for this customer.
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Maintaining and supporting the database of a Kuehne and Nagel in-house program
· Processing import seafreight documentation according to KN policy and customer timeframes
· Liaising with the client, shipping lines, cartage companies and overseas KN offices
· Monitoring container movements to provide customers with up to date information
· Daily and weekly internal and client reporting
Your skills and experience
· A background in the freight forwarding or shipping industry is highly advantageous
· Successful track record in accuracy
· Strong analysis skills – proven ability to analyse problems thoroughly to make sound judgments
· Proven success dealing with customers
· Demonstrated capability of working in a team as well as independently
· Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel) and experience working with database systems
· A ‘can do' attitude and willingness to learn
