Your Role

This role is responsible for planning and dispatch activities controlled within the National Operational Care Centre related to KN PharmaChain customers. This individual will be responsible for the operational execution of temperature controlled product movements from suppliers to end customers, encompassing shipment setup, carrier selection, shipment confirmation, exception monitoring and key performance indicators.

Your Responsibilities

- Review and action client requests received through Online Ordering systems, email and/or centralized dispatch systems.
- Process orders in KN's TMS and Visibility Systems with a high level of data quality and performance.
- Tender shipments to KN approved PharmaChain certified carriers and monitor progress until delivery complete.
- Maintain track and trace updates within the TMS, either monitored electronically or updated manually.
- Where required, provide POD's to consignees and / or customer partners.
- Foster positive carrier engagement practices to ensure that best in class service and rates are obtained.
- Administer all carrier pre-qualification approvals and ensure that only KN approved carriers are used to execute Overland transportation services.
- Assist with investigating root cause and analysis of events resulting in non-conformance activity or customer complaint.
- Actively engage in communication with the Customer Service teams to ensure defined client requirements are met and/or exceeded.

- Be proactive in solving problems with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all activities are executed within KN Code of Conduct guidelines.
- Must successfully complete KN PharamChain certification training.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the company from time to time.

 

Your Skills and Experiences

5 + years industry experience in Freight Forwarding and or Transportation, including experience with Road Transportation specifically.
3 + years experience in Transborder (Canada / U.S.) transportation services procurement.

Strong geographical knowledge of North American transportation freight networks.
Previous experience working with carriers in the transportation of temperature controlled goods.
French language skills considered an asset but not required.

Diploma/Degree in international Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Professional accreditation (CIFFA, CITT), P.log) is considered and asset.

Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft office (Excel, Word).
Strong organization, time management, attention to detail and accuracy required.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
