Job Description
Provide operational and administrative support to a specialist activity operating in the exhibition and event sector. Coordinate domestic and international freight movements, often with direct contact to final delivery onsite at the event.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
· Coordinate day to day operations and customer services to/at events in UK & overseas with profit responsibility at shipment/event level
· Deliver excellence in all operations: Ensure safe and time-definite delivery/installation of customer shipments to events in UK & overseas; provide appropriate, correct and timely Customs treatment of customer shipments at export and import
· Lead service delivery teams at events ensuring all parties maintain high standards of customer care and operational performance. Organise onsite deliveries and installations Process, distribute and monitor participant lists and other leads to generate customer enquiries and client requests. Management of all supplier invoices and customer billing to ensure timely and profitable closure of customer files within required time frames. Sharp focus on supplier costs, customer revenues and margin performance at shipment/event level
· Build positive relationships with new and prospective customers, suppliers and agents as well as other departments of K&N
· Proactive communication to all stakeholders
· Must be flexible to travel
Your Skills and Experience
· Detailed understanding of Customs rules, regulations and procedures. Ability to speak a foreign language is an advantage
· Previous experience of logistics operations across multiple sectors and lanes
· Excellent communication skills
· Personable and persuasive with high levels of drive, energy and self-motivation
· Team player, capable of developing strong rapport with colleagues and customers
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Numerate and literate
· Knowledge of world geography
