Your Responsibilities

Works with senior department members to develop understanding of project definition, including input and output requirements and anticipated timetable.
Determine best method for data communications based on evaluation and utilization of existing EDI/XML application logic (where applicable).
Develop EDI translation maps using department standards necessary to meet project requirements.
Conducts EDI application testing sufficient to identify and correct inconsistencies with developed map.
Generate documentation and operational procedures using department standards.
Follow department procedures for deployment of new EDI/XML applications and enhancements to all necessary systems.
Supports external and internal end users in the usage of all EDI/XML applications relative to their technical ability, regardless of involvement with the initial EDI/XML application development.
Troubleshoot EDI claim/ encounter issues as needed. Provide results along with any additional requirements to the involved working party.
Be in continuous contact with NGK to implement the EDI’s for the region

Your Skills and Experiences

TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 

Basic Knowledge of Sea freight, Airfreight, Warehousing, Customs Brokerage business required.
Knowledge of EDI Standards (specially EDIFACT, ANSI X.12)
Good knowledge of English language (reading, writing and conversation).
Knowledge of PMI methodology
Practical experience with XML and XSLT, communications protocols (FTP,AS2, HTTP) and ‘Value Added Network’.
Experience using Mapping tool (Stylus, xslt)
SOA (service-oriented architecture)
Practical experience with of UNIX commands and UNIX scripting(ksh, awk,.pl).
Practical experience with relational database management systems.
