Job description
The Driver will ensure that products are transported safely and efficiently to achieve customer requirements. We are looking for flexible, experienced and professional Drivers that would be interested in joining our team.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
· To meet with site Health & Safety requirements and share general “housekeeping” responsibilities
· Comply with process and procedure and all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
· When using any company plant machinery or equipment, to only use them for the purpose for which they were designed and only when trained and authorised to do so
· Conduct full inspection of vehicle and trailer operation prior to departure from site
· Responsible for the security of the vehicle, trailer and load at all times
· Ensuring that the goods are delivered to the customer in a safe and efficient manner and on time
· Driving in a professional manner to achieve the set Targets and Standards of the depot (Driver)
· To comply with drivers hours legislation and working time directive
Your skills and experience
· A basic standard of literacy and numeracy
· Minimum Class1 / C+E licence
· Customer Service experience
· Distribution experience in a customer focused environment
· A good working knowledge of EU driving regulations and Working Time Directive Legislation
· Able to provide full work history
· Valid Driving Licence for vehicle being driven
· Completion of driver CPC
