Distribution Coordinator Contract Logistics (m/f)

Job description

The Distribution Coordinator (m/f) is responsible for all tasks which are linked to the handling of worldwide Parcel shipments via truck as well as per airplane.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Handling of customer requests
·  Preparation of request regarding customs clearance for the customs department
·  Check of restrictions for import customs clearance of countries of destination and further shipping restrictions of parcel carriers for these countries
·  Follow up of the entire parcel shipment up to delivery (when necessary taking into account special processes for specific customers)
·  Organization and follow up of returns
·  Creation of bar code labels, shipping documents and CMR way-bills for exports and imports
·  Check of incoming invoices and payment instruction
·  Being interface between customer and carrier
·  Problem solving in close cooperation with carriers
·  Customer Service
·  Permanent cooperation and communication with Customer Service, customer, warehouse staff and other involved persons
·  Guidance, training and supervision of apprentices
·  Compliance with required customer quality standards

Your skills and experience

·  Apprenticeship in logistics and/or first working experience
·  Experiences in logistics or relevant industries
·  Strong affinity with required customer standards
·  Language skills: German and English, basic knowledge in French
·  Familiar with IT systems (MS Office etc.)
·  Soft skills: ability to work in a team, flexibility, stress-resistance
