Job description

We are looking for a detail oriented, organized, and experienced customs professional to join our customs team. If that's you, we would like to hear from you!

Your Role

The Customs Customer Service Representative is responsible for ensuring a high level or accuracy, must be able to analyze the relationship between the vendor and importer, coordinate with clients and carriers to expedite shipments, and have strong customer service skills.

Your Responsibilities

·  Analyze relationship between the vendor and importer; choose correct valuation method to calculate customs duty, GST, Excise tax, and SIMA;
·  Maintain database to ensure HS classification accuracy;
·  Follow up with warehouse and trucking company to ensure released shipments delivered without delay;
·  Coordinate with clients and carriers to expedite shipments;
·  Support day-to-day operations (this may include a variety of administrative, customer service and/or operational duties);
·  Assist the Management team with various tasks, assignments and projects;
·  Perform a range of department and business support responsibilities;
·  Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the company.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Currently enrolled or recent graduate from a college or university International Business or Logistics program (preferred);
·  Excellent customer service and administrative skills (required);
·  Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills required, including high attention to detail and accuracy within a fast-paced work environment;
·  Strong computer competency required, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
·  Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30am to 5:00pm).
