Customer Service Executive | Chicago, IL USA | req47360

Act as the single point of contact for the assigned customer base.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the single point of contact for the assigned customer base.
• Retain accounts by providing superior service giving the client one point of contact for all questions. Superior service is an incentive for existing clients to work more closely with us.
• Tracking import orders prior to for customers prior to those shipments becoming operational files (prior to KNIE opening).
• Acting as a conduit between clients/operations/sales.
• Staying closer to the 'front line' employees of the client that would keep KN informed about what competitors were soliciting them and the client's view of KN.
• Generally, smoothing over any operational failures.
• Obtaining rates, creating quotations and sending proposals to customers for spot quote requests.
• Supporting the sales team to implement newly awarded business for the assigned customer base: Creating SOP's, KN Login Customer Profiles and KN Login Solutions (Monitoring, Reporting, etc.)
• Participating in quarterly business reviews and meeting assigned customers on a regular basis.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Candidates should have 3 years freight forwarding experience.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• To be prepared to learn all aspects of the team's work with desire and ability to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer focus with proactive attitude
• Candidate should process a desire to progress within the team demonstrating the ability to take on more responsibility in time.
