We have an exciting new opportunity for two Apprentices to join our team in Dartford and work towards their Customer Service qualification. Have you ever wondered how the latest gadget you ordered arrived at your door or how the supermarket shelves are always full? The answer is through the work of an International Freight Forwarder. Your Role

During your apprenticeship you will earn as you learn, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards a Level 2 Customer Service apprenticeship. The Customer Care team are responsible for direct interaction with our customers, proactive customer service, problem solving, customer follow up, interaction with our sales colleagues and more. This role will build the exposure and experience you need for a brilliant career in international trade and freight forwarding, as well as achieving your qualification. Initially you will be focused on supporting the team and customers with checking international status and customs paperwork; key facilitators to the smooth movement of goods. Once you gain experience and confidence in this and with our systems you will move on to dealing with customers.

Your Responsibilities

·  Focus on improving customer satisfaction by delivering high quality services
·  Ensure service excellence by leveraging a high level of forwarding and market knowledge
·  Monitor customer shipments in order to provide proactive updates to customers and to problem solve (by collaborating
with other stake-holders)
·  Document, investigate and conduct root cause analysis on any deviations using our systems
·  Qualification of customer enquiries, provision of quotations within corporate guidelines for pricing and follow up
·  Closely liaise with Sales owners to ensure the smooth on-boarding of new customers
·  Create, refine and review reports as needed including conducting performance analysis with KN Systems

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Right to work in the UK
·  Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D (including Maths & English)
·  Strong organisational skills and IT skills
·  Self-disciplined, proactive and motivated
·  Able to work at a fast pace, with efficiency and accuracy
·  A willingness to learn, a positive attitude and drive to succeed
·  Excellent team player, focused on providing customer excellence
·  Polite and professional telephone manner and email etiquette
