·  Manage your own portfolio of customers
·  Drive customer service excellence
·  Monitor all steps to ensure a smooth supply chain process
·  Work with a supportive and fun team

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves to take real ownership of their work and customer portfolio. This critical role sits within a large Client Services team and is a key point of contact for our clients.
In this role, you will become an extension of your client's business, providing logistics, support, advice and professional assistance to achieve desired results.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Liaising with overseas agents, 3rd party carriers / freight forwarders with regards to order placement, bookings, co-ordination, monitoring & timely delivery
·  Building long term and effective relationships with customers (internal and external) and regulatory bodies (this may include offsite customer visits)
·  Providing customers with up to date information on shipments
·  Liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with documentation and process
·  Accurate and timely registration / invoicing / closing of import seafreight files, milestones and workflow for your portfolio

Your skills and experience

·  A minimum of 2 years freight forwarding experience
·  Exposure to Customer Service & Import Seafreight Operations processes within a freight forwarding environment
·  Sound technology literacy, specifically the Microsoft suite.
·  Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, effective time management, a high level of accuracy & speed relative to data entry
·  Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
·  Ability to think outside the square and solve problems
·  A positive work ethic and a commitment to upskilling
·  Must have a valid NZ drivers licence and own transport
