It's an exciting time to join Kuehne + Nagel - our UK business is growing and fast! As the contract logistics partner of choice for logistics outsourcing and the management of complex supply chains, our dedicated staff design solutions that turn logistics operations from a challenge into a substantial competitive advantage.

We are now recruiting for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for gathering, interpreting and deriving business insight from data and market intelligence. You will then turn this insight into a customer-centric output that is relevant to supply chains.

What you'll do

·  Carry out analysis based on shipment data and propose Continuous Improvement initiatives prioritised by benefits and ease of implementation
·  Review operational procedures (internally and externally) and design process improvements

·  Implement initiatives in alignment and under supervision of the Business Manager

·  Ensure that operational KPIs are being reported according to the agreed time lines

·  Documents changes and creates updated Standard Operating Procedures and working instructions according to the Kuehne + Nagel standard

·  Liaise with our customers on a regular basis and ensure customer priorities are being taken into consideration for decision making processes and which initiatives to implement

·  Collect market intelligence from internal and external sources and conduct market research and benchmark studies/analysis

·  Develop knowledge and understanding of specific customer requirements as well as understanding and interpreting market data for relevance

·  Knowledge of and compliance with quality standards such as GXP

What you'll bring

·  Ideally a logistics degree or similar degree relevant to business

·  Experience in the logistics industry is preferable

·  Multimodal industry experience would be beneficial, but any mode is an advantage (priority is sea).

·  High proficiency in Microsoft office with a particular focus on Excel and access databases. Advanced Excel knowledge would be very beneficial. Experience in project management is also beneficial

·  Knowledge of business objects and tableau - a general understating of IT systems and experience with data management

·  Good Understanding of processes

·  Knowledge of VBA, Acess, SQL Server, Power Query and Power BI would be an advantage

·  Security vetting is a requirement and job commencement is subject to obtaining and maintaining the necessary security clearance
