An opportunity has arisen for an Associate HR Business Partner to join the Retail and E-commerce HR Team, partnering with the Retail and E-commerce Managers and their teams within the Northern Region to provide a professional and comprehensive generalist HR support. They will ensure excellent client service delivery is maintained, motivating a diverse workforce and ensuring operational deadlines are exceeded.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  To ensure that all matters relating to Human Resources are at all times conducted in accordance with legislative requirements, Company procedures and any recognised local agreements that are in place.
· 
To take a collaborative and coaching approach to ensure that relevant staff and managers are fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations when dealing with HR matters, and that any non-compliance is identified and speedily resolved.

· 
To support the operation of the Company's performance management and development processes, and to liaise with the Training and Development function to ensure that training requirements are fulfilled.

· 
To assist in the development and implementation of change management programmes, in support of business objectives. To undertake or support HR-related projects which relate to the needs of the designated site, the division, or the organisation. To participate, encourage and implement an ethos of Business Excellence and to challenge day to day operational decisions to find more effective and commercial HR approach

· 
To monitor the HR metrics for the site / region and to initiate action to ensure ongoing improvements and Implement corporate HR strategy within the site / region as required.

· 
To maintain working relationships with local representative bodies such as Trades Unions and Joint Consultative Committees.

· 
To work with local administrators, shared service centre and any other relevant personnel (e.g. Payroll, Benefits, Resourcing) to ensure that all record systems and documentation are accurate, up-to-date and processed within the requisite timescales.

· 
To provide guidance and support in recruitment processes, to ensure that the most appropriate candidates are selected and retained,, working collaboratively with the central Resourcing team and to ensure that all matters relating to discipline and grievances are handled in accordance with both legislative and Company requirements, and to participate in the management of such matters as appropriate, recognising the potential need for commerciality in certain cases.

Your skills and experience

·  CIPD Qualified or working towards qualification
·  Employee and Industrial Relations experience
· 
Business/commercial acumen.

· 
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers and trade union representatives

· 
PC skills (to include Microsoft Word and Excel)

· 
Good knowledge of employment law

· 
Able to use initiative, organise own workload and to tight deadline

· 
Team player with excellent communication skills
