Job description

Our branch in Los Angeles is in search for an experienced freight forwarding professional for the Air Export team.

Your Role

The Air Export coordinator is responsible for all aspects of a customer shipment including billing, rate quotation, vendor invoices, etc.

Your Responsibilities

- Receive pre-alerts/routing orders/bookings from customers/KN Network and sales
- Monitor ATA/ETA with airlines/forwarders/GHA and ensure freight has arrived as per schedule
- Coordinate with clients regarding freight pick-up, airfreight routing and prepare documentation for the transport
- Communicate proactively with customers on shipment status
- Ensures KPI performance accordingly to customer agreements and network requirements
- Resolve issues regarding cargo shortage/ damage/ claims
- Ensure KN systems are utilized properly and operational processes are followed

Your Skills and Experiences

-    In depth knowledge of export procedures
-    Ability to be profit conscious
-    Ability to work with demanding deadlines
-    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-    Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities
-    Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized
-    Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate and have the ability to efficiently solve problems
-    Strong PC skills
-    Proven analytical and problem solving skills
-    Work effectively via phone, fax, e-mail. Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter
