Position Summary
Ketosource is looking for Research Analysts with a strong interest/ background in nutrition, biochemistry and data-driven analysis.

Your goals for the position will be to:
Answer incoming client questions with a highly practical and evidence based approach
Project work - Create and summarize knowledge via research, analysis and presentation of findings on given topics
Provide specific research and data analysis support for research studies and client engagements
Data collection and preparation as inputs to systems and predictive models

The research analyst position is the first step in the consulting practice where you acquire, round out and prove your technical skills. Some research analysts choose to move to a consultant role with client facing consultations after a period in the analyst position.

Role Activities & Responsibilities
Research topics including but not limited to the application of the ketogenic diet, fasting and ketones to:
Weight loss and fat loss via KD and/ or fasting protocols
Physical and cognitive performance
Areas of potential therapeutic ketosis application (inflammation, cognitive decline, diabetes management)
Other health issues / or health-blocks that may arise during consultation
Search for, review and summarize research papers and data available on specific topics as needed
Collect data from various sources, analyze and summarize significant and actionable insights
Study biomarkers and their potential use within the coaching practice to generate actionable insights and optimize for specific goals
Build forms and spreadsheets for use by consulting practice and for research projects, to collect (automate where possible) and analyze data

Desired profile

Experience with and facility in finding, evaluating and reviewing research literature to understand its strengths and weaknesses.
Relevant degree to the position (not essential, but helpful). We look at this broadly, so anything ‘analytical’ or ‘technical’ with respect to nutrition and biochemistry will be helpful. Examples would be biochemistry, nutrition, bioinformatics, data analytics, statistics and computer science.
In-depth experience and familiarity with using spreadsheets (google sheets) and documents (google docs, google slides) to analyze, summarize and present data.
General IT knowledge and use of / and configuration of IT systems is beneficial (e.g. Zapier etc.)
Excellent English writing and comprehension skills (English is the language of work, research etc).
Have you been following a ketogenic diet? Fasting protocols? Carried out your own self-experimentation and quantification in other areas? (These experiences are all looked on positively - please let us know)

Structure
This position may start on a part-time or full-time basis depending on the candidate.
The position may be done ‘virtually’. So your location / country is not a constraint. You will however need to attend a weekly team meeting over Skype Video every Monday between hours of 5pm and 7pm (GMT London time).
Remuneration will be discussed with candidates that successfully pass the interview process.
