Junior/Midweight Store Designer

Job description

Role Objective:

An exciting opportunity for a Junior/Midweight Store Designer to join a small, dynamic in-house Store Planning Department, supporting the team from design through to implementation of the retail concept.

Key Functions:

Support the Store Planning Managers on Daily Tasks across all projects including;

· Concept Exploration
· Draft Feasibility Layout Studies and Schematic Planning
· Design Intent Drawing Packs
· Visualisation
· Material Research
· Assisting on live construction sites
· Pre- fabrication coordination with suppliers and producers
· Department Administration and Workflow Coordination (Office Management)
· Presentation Preparation (For Internal and External purposes)

Desired profile

The Ideal Candidate:

·  Excellent creativity skills with an astute eye for details
·  Self-motivated and ambitious
·  Experience working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
·  Experience working within a similar luxury Fashion retailer (client or agency side)
·  Excellent awareness of current trends in retail design
·  Good knowledge of materials, and design details
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Proven experience working with third party contractors
·  Excellent time management and organisational skills
·  Effective influencing and negotiation skills
·  Proficient in a range of software – including but not limited to Photoshop, Vector works, Sketch-up, InDesign and Illustrator
·  Hand sketching skills preferable
·  Minimum BA (Hons) Degree in Interior Design, Architecture (or equivalent)
·  Willing to travel as part of the role (Long and Short Haul)
