In this role, s/he will support a variety of HR-related responsibilities such as organizational and individual development, performance management, employee relations, recruiting, and compliance.


Title: HR People Partner for Office Functions

Seniority: Specialist - Senior Specialist Level

Report to: HR Senior Business Partner

Subordinate: n/a, supported by 1 temporary assistant

Key Responsibilities

·  Act as a people partner to Team Leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, plans, and solutions that foster organizational and employee effectiveness in aligning with Executives for top priorities, interface to external partners for proceeding such initiatives
·  Responsible in full-cycle of recruiting for mid-career, while optimizing the quality of new hires, time to hire and cost to hire, and achieve the target hiring on the headcount plan
·  Define sourcing & recruiting strategy, identify business needs and priority to reflect on hiring actions
·  Plan and Manage the onboarding program for new hire
·  Coordinate for both annual and quarterly performance review processes which focus on performance management and talent development
·  Coach and educate Key Managers and Employees to address all types of employee relations issues
·  Ensure compliance with Japanese labor law and company policies
·  Manage HR reporting (FTE, organization chart, overtime, turnover etc)

Experience & Qualifications

·  5+ years' experience in office or retail HR and/or generalist in international company, partnering with business leaders in complex and dynamic business settings
·  Retail / Luxury retail / Service & Hospitality / B to C industry experience is advantage
·  Native level Japanese; business level verbal and written English proficiency
·  Mature and empathetic to people, insightful ability and speed & flexibility towards complexed matters
·  Must be a proactive team-player
