The Transportation Analyst provides in depth analytical support to the transport operations around service levels, discrepancy management and process improvements.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

· Responsible for the freight costing analysis and execution function
· Responsible to manage relationship with GBS Finance Service Centre
· Ensure freight costing and payment is in line with company policies and procedures
· Prepares the yearly budget for Transportation costs
· Undertake S404 audits as required and ensure compliance in all areas
· Partner with Supply Finance Chain business partners in the Dublin to explain Monthly variances on Finance.
· Partner effectively with external customers and internal transportation retained organization, customer service representatives, distribution organization with a focus on increased value and benefit realization
· Liaises with continuous improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements
· Continuously seeks out opportunities to improve current processes
· Provide to the GBS Transportation Manager monthly freight costing reporting for each market showing any variances to budget and be able to provide an explanation for these variances and also support forecasting for freight spend

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Required Education and Experience

·  University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
·  Language skills- English (Required); Second Language (Preferred)
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office
Preferred Criteria

·  Master's Level University Degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
·  Experience of working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally
·  Working knowledge of a Transport Management System
·  Understanding of transportation rules and regulations; standard processes and business policies
·  Training and Certification in Six Sigma or LEAN , or similar quality management experience
·  FMCG industry work experience
