The Sr. Medical Associate, Customer Relations – LATAM evaluates, investigates and documents written and telephone complaints and technical inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (JJVC) products. The individual evaluates medical complaints, assigns appropriate classification and determines filing requirements. The Sr. Associate files / submits adverse event reports to the appropriate worldwide regulatory bodies within the required timelines. He/she is responsible for actively monitoring workflow and ensuring initial and updated medical reports are filed on time to applicable regulatory agencies. The Sr. Associate positively interacts with the customer and eye care professionals, educates and advises on proper use and potential replacement options of JJVC products. The individual coordinates medical expense reimbursement claims, ensuring compliance to applicable company guidelines. The Sr. Associate adheres to GMP regulations within complaint and medical files and other documents within the department. He/she is responsible for peer review / audit of medical reportable files, ensuring accurate submission to regulatory bodies. Sr. Medical Associate, Customer Relations
- LATAM participates in other activities as required including reviewing new / emerging regulations, project teams, training new associates, etc. The individual works in a cooperative and collaborative manner with fellow team members through constructive communication, flexibility and exhibits a willingness to assist other team members.
Other day to day duties of the Sr. Medical Associate, Customer Relations – LATAM will be to execute the following: evaluate medical complaints to determine filing requirements per MDR/GMP regulations and other regulatory requirements; investigate and document non-medical complaints as necessary; request and compile information for claims relating to adverse reactions; coordinate the reimbursement process; review complaint files for accuracy and completeness per GMP regulations; investigate and document account and consumer complaints/concerns and inquiries; participates in investigations, audits, cross-functional teams, and other related duties as assigned by management; adhere to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
QualificationsA minimum of a Registered Nursing degree or a Bachelor of Science degree or at least 5 years of related medical experience with some completed college course work is required. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Strong grammatical skills are required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Fluency in both oral and written Spanish is required. The ability to meet a minimum of 25 customer phone calls per day is required. A minimum of intermediate skills with Personal Computer, Printer, Telephone, Facsimile, Copier, Calculator, Microsoft Office products, Software is required. This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL and require up to 10% domestic travel.
