The Packaging Shift Leader will:
· Responsible for identifying and prioritizing production requirements and coordinating the flow of materials, parts and assemblies to meet production schedules.
· Confers with department supervisors and reviews master production schedules, work orders, departmental production schedules and related information to determine material requirements.
· Performs material availability analysis to determine material and supply requirements.
· Coordinates plant inventory levels which includes ordering the correct quantities, determining the appropriate lead times, tracking the available storage space and identifying reasons that require inventory adjustments and correcting the cause.
· Performs physical inventory counts.
· Monitors assembly line schedule and releases jobs to floor on a timely basis to maintain efficient production.
· Indicates number, type and proposed completion date of units to be produced. Reviews progress reports concerning status and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment and apprises production planning personnel of production delays.
· Compiles and prioritizes work orders for comparison to available finished units and fulfillment.
· Updates work order statuses and identifies shortages to management.
· Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, Corporate, and plant production departments to ensure the on time delivery of products and efficient resolution.
· Analyzes production data and prepares reports.

Desired profile

·  A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
·  A minimum of 3 years of related operations experience is required.
·  Previous supervisory/team leader experience is preferred.
·  Experience working in Production is required.
·  Experience in developing and executing tactical plans is preferred.
·  Must be able to frequently lift/carry between 1-35lbs, occasionally lift/carry between 36-50 lbs. and be able to lift from the ground to knees and waist, as well as from the waist to shoulders.
·  Must be open and available to working primarily 1 st shift, but flexibility to occasionally work all shifts.
·  Previous experience using SAP is preferred.
·  This position is located in Lancaster, PA and may require up to 5% of domestic travel.
