As a Medical information Officer, you will Supply medical information in response to internal and external customer enquiries. Provide support to medical and marketing as therapy area specialist.

Key Responsibilities
·  Answer enquiries from health care professionals, members of the public and internal
·  customers concerning the safe and effective use of all products marketed by Janssen in a timely manner
·  Record all external customer contacts in the Customer Records Management (CRM) database.
·  Search relevant data sources, both internal and external, to identify and retrieve relevant data and information appropriate to answer medical information requests.
·  Analyse clinical papers to identify appropriate data to answer the medical information enquiries
·  Prepare written summaries of clinical data for inclusion in pre-approved responses and in response to customer enquiries
·  Proactively update the Database Management System (DMS) with pre-approved responses that can be reused by others in the Medical Department to answer medical information enquiries.
·  Contribute to the writing of Departmental SOPs in conjunction with other members of the Medical Information Team.
·  Handle complex enquiries on products for which you are the designated product specialist in the department.
·  Train Account Managers and relevant internal colleagues on the use of Medical Information and when required on product SmPCs.
·  Provide support on one or more promoted products. This can be done by: proactively preparing and updating pre-approved responses, providing monthly insights reports of enquiries to brand teams and providing other product specialist to Sales and Marketing
·  Teams and Medical Affairs, as identified in conjunction with these teams e.g. review or promotional and non-promotional material in the copy approval process
·  Complete annual Drug Safety and HCC Awareness training
·  Report Adverse Events and complaints in a timely way to Drug Safety according to current Adverse Event Reporting guidelines/SOP and to maintain Regulatory compliance
·  Acts in accordance with Johnson & Johnson HCC requirements if interacting with Healthcare Professionals
·  If commissioning contractors or third-party organisations, put contracts in place and provide training so that these individuals also act in accordance with Johnson & Johnson
·  HCC requirements when interacting with Healthcare Professionals and report adverse events and complaints (as above).
·  Complies with designated SOP's for the role

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience
·  Degree in a bioscience, pharmacy or medicine
·  Strong communication skills : To answer certain technical enquiries a Medical Information Officer is required to contact colleagues in other Departments including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Drug Safety, Outcomes Research, Customer Services, Marketing and Sales and McNeil Ltd. UK.
·  Attention to detail/accuracy
·  Ability to maintain complete confidentiality
