The Machine Operator will perform basic visual, mechanical, chemical and dimensional inspection of product and materials for conformance to specifications.

You will:

Responsible for operating machinery to produce parts, tool and equipment using sketches, prints or instruction manuals. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.

Assist with set up and operation of machinery to produce parts, tools and equipment. Modifies parts based on quality inspection results to assure conformance to requirements. Clean machines as necessary and assist with basic maintenance. Correct basic manufacturing problems as directed. Requests supplies for assigned equipment and maintains calibration records. Notifies supervisor when machinery needs maintenance or repairs. Reviews and implements all quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications

·  A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
·  Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.
·  Ability to stand for at least 8 hours.
·  This position is located in Horsehead, NY for the second shift working hours of 1:45pm to 10:15pm with overtime and weekends as required.
