To ensure delivery of this imperative, the EMEA Strategic Capabilities Team is seeking a Health Technology Deployment Manager

Role Purpose:

Digital technologies are now disrupting the Healthcare sector with patients becoming more engaged in their healthcare and wellness. This is a role that will have real impact in changing how consumers, doctors, and organizations utilize technology in the pursuit of health and wellness. In addition to deploying innovative digital solutions to market, you'll collaborate on technology product strategy and play a first hand role in driving the new technology to launch and adoption.

The Patient Pathway Solutions team designs, builds and delivers the digital solutions to our customers in hospitals across the EMEA region. The Health Tech Deployment Manager sits in the Patient Pathways & eHealth team and owns and leads the end-to-end Deployment process for digital solutions to be implemented in hospital systems.

Care4Today (C4T) is one such platform focused on digital patient engagement and care coordination. It connects the patient with the clinical team providing their care and helps the patient prepare for their surgery and rehabilitate afterwards. C4T is used across a range of disease areas including Surgery, Oncology, Obesity, select Cardiovascular Disease Areas, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis.

Key areas of responsibility:

The Health Tech Deployment Manager will act as the focal point for each deployment of digital project. In this key leadership role, they will lead all Deployment activities associated with the successful delivery and roll-out of the digital solution to hospitals across EMEA and create an exceptional customer experience. In doing so, the Deployment Manager will adhere to the defined Deployment Process. The Deployment process consists of the following phases:
• Phase 1 Local Kick-off
• Phase 2 Localisation Requirements
• Phase 3 Technology Delivery
• Phase 4 Verification & Launch
• Phase 5 Hyper Care

In performing this role, The VC Deployment Manager will engage and work closely with a wide range of internal and external key stakeholders, including:
• Solution Product Leads, and integral business partners including privacy, legal, health economics, quality, regulatory etc
• IT Stakeholders including Tech leads, Scrum Master, Developers, Business Analysts and Technical Architects
• J&J colleagues local to the country in EMEA where technology is being deployed (the Local Team)
• Clinical and non-clinical customers in the hospitals
• Collaborate and manage external J&J technology partners

The Health Tech Deployment Manager will contribute to the continued evolution and enhancement of the Deployment process and bring their deployment skills and experience to bear in doing so. They will play a leading role in the Lessons Learnt process that follows each deployment. The Deployment manager will also provide on-going project management support to ensure exceptional customer experience.

Skills and competencies required:

This role requires a passion for breaking technology boundaries and a can-do mentality to help negotiate, shape and deliver health technology solutions to hospitals across EMEA. Strong candidates will have a good blend of technology delivery, business planning, health management experience.

• Proven highly-effective communications and stakeholder management skills that will enable successful working across multidisciplinary teams and geographies; strong track record of successful engagement with clinical & non-clinical stakeholders
• Strong project management orientation with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage complex Deployment projects to rapid completion; track record for execution is essential, with experience working in transformational change programmes or portfolios highly desirable
• Sharp delivery focus and willingness to proactively drive each deployment forward
• Understanding of the patient care pathway concept
• Background in digital health technology is advantageous, eg patient engagement, telemedicine, wearables
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team and remotely as an individual
• Versatility and flexibility, with an appetite for moving between workstreams as required
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix to successfully deliver objectives to time and budget
• Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate
• Understanding of Data Privacy regulations and confidently manage conversations with Hospital and External Partners
• Knowledge of Hospital Systems and HL7 and other standard protocols and languages
• Understanding of project management fundamentals and corresponding ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects to rapid completion
• Ability to break down problems and structure comprehensive solutions
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to executives
• Positive attitude, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias for action

Education & Experience Required:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
• Proven IT project management and/or IT implementation experience with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage complex projects to completion; track record for execution is essential, with experience working in transformational change programmes or portfolios highly desirable
• 5+ years in a technology management role within an ITIL framework
• 3+ years business experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sector, including knowledge of hospital workflows and IT applications
• Extensive experience in engaging and managing multiple stakeholder in dynamic business environments
• Essential Languages: English
• Minimum proficiency in a second language: Arabic, German, French, Italian or Spanish
• Proven work experience delivering IT support functions at an international level
• Ability to combine strong analytical skills and abstract thinking with business knowledge
• Excellence in planning and execution; acting result orientated
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; ability to adapt readily to change
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional, international teams
