The CNC Machinist II :
·  Reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor
·  Sets up and operates diverse types of equipment used to manufacture various types of medical instruments within established manufacturing processes, GMP's, and quality requirements
·  Sets up and operates machines to produce parts in accordance with the production plan provided by the Manufacturing Supervisor
·  Uses CNC, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Manual, or Automatic equipment including but not limited to various types of Lathes (Citizen or Star Swiss lathes), Vertical Machining Centers, EDMs, Grinders (Rollomatic and Unison), etc.
·  Performs First Article Inspection and in process quality checks of all machined parts
·  Provides input to lead/supervisor to resolve quality problems and improve operations
·  Stays on task to help meet or exceed the team’s production goals and requirements
·  Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times
·  Diligently participates in compliance program-related activities as denoted by leadership
·  Performs other related duties as required

Desired profile

Qualifications

·  High School diploma or equivalent is required ; Associates degree or equivalent is preferred
·  A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required
·  A minimum of 3 years of experience with CNC equipment is preferred
·  CNC grinding experience is highly preferred
·  CNC programming experience is preferred
·  Good math skills and working knowledge of metrics are required
·  Successful completion of a technical assessment (administered as part of the interview process) is required
·  Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices is preferred
·  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is required
·  Ability to perform detailed documentation is required
·  Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, is required
·  Experience working within a GMP / FDA environment is preferred
·  Basic knowledge and familiarity with AutoCad and MasterCam is preferred
·  Mechanical abilities that are required include eye-hand coordination and sufficient hand strength to assemble products
·  Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. is required
·  Specific vision abilities that are required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
·  Ability to work Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm (1 st shift) plus overtime as needed which may include weekends is required
