Trainee Accountant With Full Study Support

We are a small dynamic Accountancy firm in the West End who deal with clients in the film, television, media, financial services and other professional service industries. We are now looking for an individual to commence or develop their career in accountancy to secure an ACCA training contract as you will have identified this as the right career path for you.

You will need to have a strong academic record with GCSE’s in Maths and English (B or above) and strong A Levels. University leavers with either accountancy or other relevant numerate degree will also be considered.

Along with your formal studies, the role will support the development of your career. Over the course of your training contract, you will be exposed to a wide range of accounting and taxation work which includes:
• Bookkeeping and maintenance of purchase and sales ledgers
• Assisting with payroll
• Involvement in accounts preparation
• Ad-hoc accounting duties
• Tax computations (Personal tax, corporation tax, VAT)
• Becoming IT-proficient as we are a paperless practice.

The right candidate must be a confident self-starter with a can do attitude, a demonstrable problem solving ability is a prerequisite as this is a demanding role within a forward looking organisation with a high calibre client base. The right candidate will be a switched on individual just leaving education after A levels or a degree course who knows what they want to achieve and is prepared to work hard and have the drive to obtain their goals. All applicants that are invited to interview and who proceed to the next stage will be required to undertake a work trial to enable you to work with us for a period and see the organisation from the inside as we feel this is the best way that we as employers and you as a candidate can make the right decision on a full time position. During the work trial we will cover an applicant’s reasonable travel and lunch costs.
