Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

2 week rota pattern:
Week 1 - 6am -2pm Mon- Fri
Week 2 - 1.30pm - 9.30 pm Mon - Fri
The succsessful candidate would be expected to work every other Saturday morning as overtime, to be discussed at interview.

This role is at at our new Customer Fulfilment Centre in Enfield, which processes and delivers Waitrose & Partners online shopping orders across London.
The address is 345 Southbury Road, Enfield EN1 1TW.

What's the role about?

John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are the lifeblood of our logistics network. Without them, our shelves would be empty and our customers disappointed. Our vehicle technicians are encouraged to manage their own time, while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.

Can you see yourself in this role? A typical day may see yourself doing the following:

- Servicing and repairing any of our Vehicles
- Carrying out services and repairs on the Light Commercial fleet
- Maintaining a compliant and safe working environment
- Attending a 'Partner Voice' session to help shape the direction of your department and wider business
- Enjoying a freshly made subsidised lunch in our Partner's Dining Room
- You will receive an annual tool allowance to be discussed at interview
- Free on-site Partner parking

Job Requirements

What you'll be doing:

As a Technician you will carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance of the John Lewis Partnership Fleet in a professional and competent manner, ensuring you maintain a safe working environment.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

What you'll have:

To land this role as a Commercial Vehicle Technician you will need a City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.

- A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Manual)

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

What else could you bring:

- Good interpersonal and IT skills
- A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road worthiness
