At a glance

Role Title: Transport Administrator CDH 

Position: This position is a permanent role

Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 Hours per week. Working Monday to Friday 10:00 to 18:00. 

This is an office based position. 

There is no weekend or Bank Holiday work required for this position.

Location: Crossways (CDH)

Salary: Up to £30,000

About the role

To adhere to and comply with the Legal and Compliance requirements as outlined within the John Lewis Partnership Operators License and the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.

To be a Subject Matter Expert for all transport and fleet-related queries.

Your key responsibilities when supporting our Customer Delivery hub will be:

· 
Ensure compliance with the Road Transport Directive, Domestic, Working Time and EU Drivers Hours Regulations.

· 
Maintain and update accurately and timely the vehicle maintenance planner.

· 
Manage vehicle defects to ensure roadworthiness of the Fleet.

· 
To ensure all vehicle and driver records are maintained in accordance with regulations.

· 
Support resource management of people and vehicles in line with the Operators License margin.

· 
Promote and adhere to all Legal, Health & Safety and Site Operating procedures.

· 
Understand and adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

· 
Assist with general administration daily tasks`.

· 
Be a brand ambassador, delivering an outstanding end to end customer experience.

· 
Support and champion business strategies and initiatives including Partnership Plans, CSR, Health and Wellbeing and local charity.

· 
Regularly undertakes self-auditing within the Transport Operation to maintain legal compliance.

Essential skills you will need 

· 
Experience working in an administrative role.

· 
Basic knowledge of IT systems and Google suites such as Excel sheets

· 
Great Interpersonal interpersonal communication skills

· 
Effective organisation and planning skills

· 
Knowledge of transport/vehicle compliance 

· 
Logistics knowledge

Desired skills you will need:

· 
Knowledge of telematics and route planner systems

· 
Knowledge of Driver Hours

· 
Experience of working in a transport environment

· 
Transport Manager CPC Qualification
