Contract Type: Permanent
Location: This role is Bracknell based, the role is based in Taylor House and sometimes the West Warehouse on the Waitrose Bracknell campus
Hours: 7:00 am - 14:30 pm Monday to Friday with some weekend working
Salary Range: We are looking for candidates in the budgeted salary range of £26,500.00 - £32,000 per annum

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Waitrose Hospitality & Food Service team as a Sous Chef.
As a Sous Chef you will lead the team, who you task manage, to support the Hospitality & Food Service team in the delivery of the highest possible operational standards. You will be an exemplary operator, ensuring menus are delivered to the highest possible standard, on time and within cost parameters, including compliance and risk management.
Some of your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Producing food to the highest standards and quality within budgetary requirements.
·
Make a creative contribution to menu and proposition development.
·
Lead the food preparation process in a kitchen ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
·
Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
·
Responsible for ensuring the kitchens meet all regulations including the highest standards of food safety and hygiene legislation as well as industry best practices
·
Ensure the administration of Food preparation is accurately recorded to management information and food safety requirements.
Essential Skills
·
Good Basic Education - GCSE’s - A Levels or Vocational equivalents
·
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
·
Recognised Food Production Certificate. City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent
·
Operational experience in medium/large industrial kitchens, canteens or hospitality at a supervisory level
Desirable Skills
·
Working towards Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 3
