Duties & Responsibilities
What's the role about?
John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are the lifeblood of our logistics network. Without them, our shelves would be empty and our customers disappointed. Our light goods vehicle technicians are encouraged to manage their own time, while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.
Can you see yourself in this role? A typical day may see yourself doing the following:
- Servicing and repairing any of our Light Goods Vehicles
- Carrying out services and repairs on the CV fleet
- Maintaining a compliant and safe working environment
- Attending a 'Partner Voice' session to help shape the direction of your department and wider business
- Enjoying a freshly made subsidised lunch in our Partner's Dining Room
- You will receive an annual tool allowance
- On site Partner parking
You will join a forward thinking team who are helping to shape our Partnership for the future.
Job Requirements
What you'll be doing
As a Technician you will carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance of the John Lewis Partnership Fleet in a professional and competent manner, ensuring you maintain a safe working environment.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications
What you'll have:
A full valid UK manual driving licence
City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.
A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
Required desirable experience skills and qualifications
What else could you bring:
A knowledge of Mercedes sprinter vans
Good interpersonal and IT skills
A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road worthiness
LGV C+E driving licence
