As a business we encourage flexible working. We have a number of different ways to work flexibly, so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however, examples of how our Partners already work flexibly include part-time, job share, home working and compressed hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

A consumer revolution is quietly taking place. You won't see people shouting about it in the shopping aisles, but it's happening nonetheless. As we become increasingly mindful of our own health , the wellbeing of our family and that of the planet, we're reshaping how we shop, cook and eat. Welcome to the era of the mindful consumer.

As an Assistant Product Developer you will drive and deliver innovative, quality focused and differentiated new product development. You will do this whilst understanding and managing the commercial implications of development.

Job Requirements

Working within the Product Development team you will keep abreast of our Customer strategy, insight and direction, macro consumer trends and food/non food trends. You will then translate this knowledge into best in class product development opportunities.

As an Ambassador of our Own Brand values you will work closely with suppliers to make our Waitrose & Partners' difference count for more. If you are passionate about food, excited about new product development and want to work within a diverse team of talent we would love to hear from you.

The Partnership's ultimate purpose is the happiness of all its members, through their worthwhile and satisfying employment in a successful business. Because the Partnership is owned in trust for its members, they share the responsibilities of ownership as well as its rewards - profit, knowledge and power. What other companies provide a share of profits to their workers? Becoming a Partner will open up a host of benefits including subsidised learning , access to exclusive Partner Hotels andso much more .
