Title: Sr. Software Engineer, Order - 60488 

Your Responsibilities

As Senior Software Engineer for the John Deere Order Management Program Order team, you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to develop and support new and existing functionality in the Order Product. You will have opportunities that go well beyond the traditional design, development, testing, and delivering of new features but also now includes exposure to automated test frameworks, CI/CD, code scanning, pairing, and fully peer-reviewed code. Major duties include:

·  Serve as the Order Product functional lead
·  Lead complex discussions to gather, evaluate, document business requirements and user stories
·  Support project assessments & initiation by articulating scope, risks and estimates
·  Work closely with the Product Owner to gather requirements, develop work breakdowns and identify independently deployable pieces of value for delivery
·  Evaluate, design and implement solutions to improve product cost, quality, and performance
·  Coach and mentor other team members in support their individual development plans
·  Review design, code, configuration, test plans and accept technical work completed by analysts and engineers on the team, ensuring product is completed with quality and is in alignment business need
·  Manage adherence to the change management process, communication with stakeholders, users and developers, performing functional unit tests, coordinating user acceptance testing, cutover tasks and ongoing support
·  Lead overall issue resolution in SAP including performing diagnostics, resolving technical integration and performance issues
·  Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation

What Skills You Need

·  7 or more years of SAP solution delivery experience for large scale implementations with specific focus in Sales & Distribution, Vehicle Management System (VMS), Supply Chain, Materials Management including experiences in configuration 
·  Experience designing and building complex SAP system integrations with legacy systems or applications specifically order to cash process 
·  Experience with deployment and change management processes 
·  Interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills 
·  Experience with support solutions such as answering general questions, resolving break/fix issues, and working on process enhancements 
·  1 or more years of experience with ABAP development with Rest/SOAP based services 
·  1 or more years of experience of automated test script creation experience 
·  1 or more years of experience with Agile/Scaled Agile methodology and full life-cycle development 
·  Experience with applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

·  Experience with Order Management 
·  Working understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures 
·  Channel and/or Order Fulfillment processes and systems experience including but not limited to SAP Process Integration, IBM SOAP Gateway & Web technologies 
·  Experience configuring and implementing system execution/quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SAP Focused Run, SonarQube, nGeniusONE etc. 
·  SAP HANA data modeling experience 
·  Experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure 
·  Experience with S/4 HANA upgrades 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

·  Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
