Your Responsibilities

 

As a Software Engineer in the John Deere Order Management (OM) program, you will get the rare opportunity to work on a large-scale global web application in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for in the country. In this position, you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to drive application development and design to meet the Plan business requirements for the OM Plan solution. In addition, you will:

 

·  Design, develop, configure and implement the Plan solution, focusing on the UI
·  Execute necessary documentation, as directed or needed
·  Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs
·  Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
·  Assist in resolution of difficult information systems technical issues
·  Mentor junior developers and perform proper code reviews

What Skills You Need

 

·  Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions
·  Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of highly complex software solutions
·  Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
·  Demonstrated knowledge of React / Angular / JavaScript / HTML / HTML5 / CSS / CSS3
·  Knowledge of Plan
·  1 or more years of work experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
·  2 or more years of experience with Java web development with Spring and RESTful APIs or ABAP development with Rest/SOAP based services
·  2 or more years of experience with TDD and acceptance test-driven development utilizing J-Unit, Cucumber, Worksoft Certify, ABAP Unit, SAP ATC, Cucumber, Cypress, Puppeteer Etc.
·  2 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DBS, SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate, NoSQL, MySql, DB2, SAP HANA)

 

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

 

·  2 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration (e.g. GitHub) and Continuous Delivery (e.g. Jenkins, Active Contol, etc.)
·  2 or more years of experience in implementation of major software programs leveraging change management
·  Knowledge of Order Fulfillment, Order Processing, ETC, and/or JDOP
·  Deep experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, ABAP Unit)
·  Working understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures
·  Experience configuring and implementing system execution/quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SAP Focused Run, SonarQube, nGeniusONE etc.
·  Experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
·  1 or more years of experience with Swagger.io

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

·  Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
