Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for the John Deere Order Management Program Operations team you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to drive application development and monitoring best practices into John Deere Order to Cash products. In addition, you will:

 

·  Coach, Mentor and Train other software engineers on technical/coding best practices in Java/SAP technical environments.
·  Design/Build/Implement improvements to CI/CD pipeline in a full-stack software development environment.
·  Design/Build/Implement application monitoring dashboards like AppDynamics, Grafana and SAP Focused Run to identify, detect and respond to application issues to proactively detect issues before they impact end users.
·  Implement cross-product application level changes to drive increased quality and performance as well as add new features to add to product offering.
·  Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.

What Skills You Need

 

·  2 or more years of experience with Java web development with Spring and RESTful APIs or ABAP development with Rest/SOAP based services
·  2 or more years of experience with TDD and acceptance test-driven development utilizing J-Unit, Cucumber, Worksoft Certify, ABAP Unit, SAP ATC, Cucumber, Cypress, Puppeteer Etc.  
·  Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of highly complex software solutions
·  Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions
·  Knowledge of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
·  Effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution
·  Experience working in a team environment
·  1 or more years of work experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment  
·  2 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DBS, SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate, NoSQL, MySql, DB2, SAPHana)

 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

·  Experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito)
·  Experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
·  Experience configuring and implementing system execution/quality monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SAP Focused Run, SonarQube, nGeniusONE etc.
·  1 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration (e.g. CitHug) and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Active Control etc.)
·  2 or more years of implementation of major software programs leveraging change management
·  Knowledge of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures
·  1 or more years of experience with Swagger.io

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

·  Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
