Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at John Deere in Milan, IL, you will provide application development and support to Java/Mainframe application in the planning, delivery and/or support of business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units. In addition, you will;
· Identify, analyze and selects information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans
· Participates as required to code, design, develop, test and integrate applications of medium to high complexity
· Create PSI/Sprint plans and schedules to meet business requirements
· Provide leadership support to the Juniors Software Engineers and Contingents for Java/Mainframe
· Lead the features related to Quality tools - Product Documentation
· Understand the Product backlog, delivery schedules & work with manager to plan resources
· Handle all the Delivery Metrics for the Product like Say-Do Ratio and Throughput, estimation of efficiencies and quality of the PSI delivered
· Participate in function spec reviews, technical spec creation and review, peer reviews for code and unit testing

What Skills You Need
· 8+ years of experience in design & development of Java/Mainframe/Java applications
· Heavy experience with Java J2EE technologies
· Experience with Spring, Hibernate & Frameworks
· Well versed with Web services
· Experience with applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
· Database administration, database design experience
· Software programming skills necessary to create and maintain host based and/or web-based applications

· Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions
· Knowledge of Pricing/Global Pricing solution domain
Education (or equivalent work experience)
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
