Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part time Student-Maintenance - Waterloo, IA - 56218 

Your Responsibilities

·  Support the TCAO Maintenance organization through completion of supervised and independent work assignments supporting the Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Manager.
·  Support the Maintenance Engineers in the execution of the Structured Onboarding of Assets (SOAP) process by executing routine data input, analysis, and review
·  Compile, analyze, and improve standard maintenance reports and metric scorecards.
·  Support the Maintenance Supervisors in the execution and tracking of required employee training.
·  Assist in the execution of the maintenance continuous improvement process (CI) to increase equipment and facility availability and reduce total life cycle maintenance costs.
·  Assist in the development of multi-media presentations for EIM's, QBR's, and maintenance staff meetings

What It Takes

·  Prior work/school experience demonstrating a high-level of work accuracy and attention to detail.
·  Excellent interpersonal communication skills
·  Self-starter, able to multitask, and work autonomously
·  Knowledge and experience with MS Office tools
·  Pursuing a degree in a technical engineering, technology, or skills trades discipline or equivalent
·  Must be a full-time student at a local university or college (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc.)
·  If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree
·  Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months
·  Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
·  Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
·  Graduation date of December 2020 or later 
·  Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
·  16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
·  35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate should also have

·  Basic understand of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
·  Prior work/school experience demonstrating a mechanical aptitude
·  Demonstrated time management / work prioritization skills
·  Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze large data sets in Excel
