Title: Materials Eng Intern, Waterloo - 57979 

Your Responsibilities
DUTIES:Material analysis using analytical lab equipment and providing technical guidance to the multi-functional engineering teams across JDPS. Use of precision saws, metallographic sample preparation equipment, hardness testing and conducting light microscopy to evaluate and characterize material microstructures. Utilizing engineering tools such as internal John Deere and external industry material standards as part of deeming material compliance.; REQUIRED:Enrolled in a Metallurgical or Materials Engineering B. S. program. Fluent with MS Office Suite, computer savvy and a technical focus in engineering.; DESIRED:Working in a laboratory environment, exposure to metallography equipment, hardness testing and basic understanding of iron and steel making principles. Complex problem solving.; EDUCATION:Enrolled in a minimum 4yr B.S. Metallurgical/ Materials Engineering program.
